Ann Gethen was born in England and has lived in America since 1967. Her studies have been self-directed with help from professional teachers to form a sound artistic background. She is now an associate member of the Oil Painters of America. 2007 saw a show in New York at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery with time on television during the reception - certainly an honor. Bentley Publishing in California, who produces her botanical illustrations as fine art, once more represents her in print. She is on the Board of directors of The Spanish Peaks Arts Council in La Veta, Colorado, where she lives and paints.
